First-time. A joined set of three Ferrol stories dealing with Archie's healing process in prison and guilt-ridden Horatio's coming to terms with his feelings for him.
Healing (R)
Comfort. After their return to the Indie Archie is still mixed up and in need of encouragement to study for his Lts' exam.
Clear for Action (NC-17)
PWP. More studying for Lt's exam. Bad Naval puns ensue.
Thine (R)
Fluff. Horny Horatio attempts to quote Shakespeare.
Give Sorrow Words (NC-17)
Comfort. After the storm scene in Mutiny, Horatio knows Archie has made up his mind about the Captain, but tries to put off facing that conclusion. Poor Horry beating himself up and wanting comfort from the only good thing he's ever had.
Hell and High Water (NC-17)
Angst. The fic that no one likes, though I'm proud of it. More "Mutiny" fic. Horatio has to do decide whether Sawyer's crazy, he's at fault, or if Archie's experienced has simply slanted his views. Also, the final scene is a response to an art challenge - Cimmerianwillow's "A Rose for Horatio". The fic just sort of grew from there.
No Quarter Given (NC-17)
AU. An adventure story on the high seas involving masks, privateers, and all that good stuff. I can only hope something like this would put some Forester Estate panties in a bunch, because, deep down, I believe this is how it should be. Must thank Rispa for putting the bunny in my head and CW for holding my hand while I wrote it. What follows is an LKU which has little regard for post-HH2 canon.
Before Dawn (NC-17)
Comfort. I suppose this should be the end of Quarter, but oh well. One night of relative hopefulness and serenity before the boys must leave Portsmouth.
Homecoming (NC-17)
Drama. Angst. Bondage. Horatio awaits the wrath of Archie's father after the family learns of Archie's circumstances.
Footsteps at the Door (R)
Angst. Archie's predicament is hard on Horatiio, who now lives in a state of paranoia and depression.
Crooked Mirrors (R)
Halloween. Horatio's mental state is improving, bbut only to encounter weirdness on All Hallow's Eve.
Thorns & Laurels (NC-17)
Drama. Two years to the day after the trial iin Kingston, Admiral Pellew pays a cerain person a little visit. This concludes this AU.
Dutch Courage (NC-17)
Dirty teenage boy porn involving candles. Set during "The Duel", the boys are nervous about their new sexual relationship and curious about buggery. Written as Christmas present for She Knows Who She Is.
Promises (R)
Follows "Dutch Courage". Reunions in Ferrol. Written as Christmas present for "Shezzawatto"
Tending (PG-13)
Pre-slash? The night in the infirmarty an hour or so after the "Drink" scene. Horatio realizes that helping Archie get better is going to be a long process.
Wanting (R)
Sex is new between H and A, but that little thing called buggery is creeping into the equation.
Impatience (PG-13)
Fluff. Archie manages to annoy Horatio enough for him to get a little dominant.
Passing Muster (NC-17)
Porn. The newly commissioned Lt. Kennedy is hero for a day, a thing which makes Horatio insecure. Written for "Sidekicks at Sea" Fanzine, though I've edited since then.
Close to Flying (NC-17)
First time. A first time fic set after the Muzillac/Mariette debacle in which Horatio mourns - as Janis Cortese puts it - his purely theoretically heterosexuality. Written for dearest Cimmerianwillow, who wanted horseback sex of some sort.
Liberties (R)
Archie/Wellard. There's sexual tension there, but would happen if, in a weak moment, it got out of hand? Written as Christmas present for "1anonymous1" on LJ.
Assuming the Worst (R)
Drama. Follows "Liberties". Make way for insaanely jealous!Horry. A christmas present for Maxi47, who requested a fic where Archie punches Horatio in the face.
All my Poverty (PG-13)
Gen with H/A implied. Wellard's admiration of Archie Kennedy, and a careful discussion of what happened in the hold.
Strike Your Colors (R)
My very first Hornblower fic and a first time fic, oddly. This story examines some of the dynamics of HH2, a frustrated Archie, and a Horatio who irritates him into lust.
Bright Burning Troy (NC-17)
Crackfic. H/A with touches of Archie/Edrington and Horatio/Pellew. Non-consesual sex/violence warning. Just how warped and crazy can the emotionally-charged aftermath of Kingston get?
January (PG-13)
Fix-it. Follows "Dutch Courage" and "Promises". Horatio watches the gory surgery that saves Archie and some sweetness ensues later. Even Pellew is fixed in this one, sort of :)

Semi-fluff. A spyglass, a deck shower, and Horatio in trouble. Written for Maxi47.
Portsmouth (NC-17)
Porn. Upon returning from Kingston, Horatio finds himself plagued by his last happy memory, drinking "Portsmouth dry in celebration" with Archie.
In Confidence (PG-13)
Gen. My one attempt at a Bush POV. Some of Bush's thoughts after Kingston and the beginnings of his understanding of Archie as a person. Originally intended as a piece of the "Bright Burning Troy" storyline, but never made it.
Inquisition by Rispa (NC-17)
Horatio/Archie/Simpson, sort of. Rispa's very perfect symbolic look at Horatio's opposing examples of homosexuality. I was supposed to continue this and will do so in future.
The Law of God and Man (NC-17)
Horatio/Sawyer. Call it AU, or a "what if", but I think it's one that's potentially possible and needed to be written. What would it have taken for Horatio to intentionally push Sawyer into the hold?
